Wynne making test more costly for young drivers

For Immediate Release: June 23, 2017

Simcoe – Premier Kathleen Wynne and Transportation Minister Steven DelDuca have been caught red-handed trying to slyly jack up drivers’ licence fees for first-time drivers.

“The regulation says that it will cost more to write knowledge tests in Ontario as of July 1st,” Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Toby Barrett explained. “So much for a happy Canada Day for those young people who look forward to writing the test this summer and from here on in for that matter. It’s not enough this government is making life harder each day for their family.”

Barrett said he constantly hears from constituents who simply cannot keep pace with the increases to all of their bills.

“And now we have our young people who are being forced to pay for this government’s mistakes…shameful.”
